La Neige by Snowfall-The-Cat La Neige by Snowfall-The-Cat

And here i reach the end of a large project. :) yay!

If i had a spaceship of my own this is what it would be.
This ship is capable of traveling interstellar, with cryogenic crew storage for long term flight. large green farming areas can be seen inside. The crew is asisted and the ship is maintained mostly by robotic equipment and AI. the ship itself (not counting ramjet cone) is 432M long.

Bullet; Orange 1 large Hydrogen fusion engine. (not in view here)
Bullet; Orange 1 GIANT thin ramjet cone 925M across to capture hydrogen gas for fuel. (is collapsible)
Bullet; Orange 1 Heat shield for aerobraking and near star approaches.
Bullet; Orange 2 cargo arms on rails.
Bullet; Orange 1 large cargo bay.
Bullet; Orange 1 bay containing small robotic spacecraft and probes that can be deployed for further research and observation.
Bullet; Orange 1 large Centrifuge ring, along with counter wheel to counteract centrifuge rotation, also used for water and waste treatment.
Bullet; Orange 2 large solar panels.
Bullet; Orange 6 Large replaceable Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators (RTG) for power
Bullet; Orange 2 science platforms for observing and mapping planets and objects.
Bullet; Orange 8 Xray telescopes for X-ray pulsar-based navigation and timing (XNAV) systems. accurate within +-0.5 Km
Bullet; Orange 1 large communications and radio antenna.
Bullet; Orange 6 docking ports.
Bullet; Orange 1 control and observation area overseeing the docking and cargo area.
Bullet; Orange Large habitable area, safe zones along with sleeping and cryogenic areas. surrounded by fuel tanks to protect from radiation.
Bullet; Orange 8 giant giro wheels for rotation control.
Bullet; Orange 28 retro rockets for linear positioning, also used as backups if giro wheels fail for spacecraft rotation controll.
Bullet; Orange 12 large hydrogen storage tanks, each can hold up to 28100 Cubic Meters in fuel. each has valves for external filling, and doors for spacewalk entry in the event that internal repairs are needed.
The ship also carrys along 2 snowflakes shuttles, (seen here The Snowflake) and 2 delta shuttles (seen here Space Shuttle) leaving 2 open docking ports for incoming craft.

i would love to have this in Orbiter one day or Space-Engine oh murr makes me purr. <3

I haven't done much with the blender cycles engine, but with this ship i learned so many new things. :)
It's a very powerful tool to play with!
I really wanted to get the materials and textures right on this ship, and from the looks of it I'm happy. ^^

Made in Blender 3D Cycles, Render time 2hours 05min. Textures made in Gimp and camera photos. made from July 11 to October 13. very spaced out work times.

Background is from…

thanks = ) i want to remake this ship again actually xD i am never satisfied with my ships. cheers!

love when artists put some atmospheric shuttles on their interstellar spaceship. remember, we aren't just going to sight see, are we?

Thanks, i want to re make this ship i have better shuttles. but i agree completely with you! you travel such a long distance its only fair to bring some way of landing with you to explore the worlds you find!

So. Much. Detail.

You don't see too many ramships in sci-fi art these days. Absolutely amazing, great work!

Thanks! it was all worth it. :)
Yeah they are very rare around for some reason. I really find they would be handy though, collecting fuel during a trip is better then bringing it all at once. much more efficient. And combined with aerobraking to slow down saves a lot of fuel all together.

Very nicely done. I can see the effort that went into this, especially if you made it from scratch.

Thank you very much! :) This was certainly made from scratch none of the models came from anywhere ells. Even the textures are photos Ive taken of real life things to be used and manipulated. Though i did not take the picture of the background. i wanted to use a background from a program called Space-Engine but it wasn't working. This one is off the net.…

You sure thought this out pretty well D:
You should make one in reality too!

Thanks ^^ I did have lots of time to think about it and this one had about 5 different possibilities that i picked from. Ive made many ship ideas in the past and have seen many others, i guess this is just the accumulation of what i liked until now. :)

Lol i wish!!!

12 space module available is your work?
Snowfall-The-Cat Featured By Owner Feb 11, 2015  Hobbyist General Artist
oh what do you mean? the 12 large hydrogen storage tanks in the picture?
danowgo Featured By Owner Feb 12, 2015
lol. looks like apartment not hydrogen tank storage.
Snowfall-The-Cat Featured By Owner Feb 12, 2015  Hobbyist General Artist
lol i can see how you would think that. they are pretty big!
danowgo Featured By Owner Edited Feb 13, 2015
