Well, i know now that using 3D bones as reference is the way to go. I'm sick and tired of messing around with anatomy all dam day and erasing it 30milion fucking times because it looks off and wrong and rely on luck before i can even get to draw what i wanted.

I want to focus on colour, background, character and everything ells now. everything that i wanted to do originally.
so if you struggle with anatomy too, get Blender 3D and set up some bones, pose it however you like and literally trace it. its a lifesaver.
its so much easier!
sorry a little bit of a rant lol

Encyclopedia bit about the Ceripy:

The Ceripy are 2.1 Meters tall and intelligent.
They are a silly race at times, they can be described with words like proud and yet a bit clumsy and forgetful, they are very delicate and dainty acting. and cheesy with jokes and creative works. they love exaggerated styles all about how things look. they often forgetting to be serious at times, but they will always be very curious though sometimes to dangerous things.
They love sines of smallness around them and in those whom they meet, as it gives them a sense of comfort and security. they will often call them cute. so if they call you a "aww your a cute little thing!", you have to agree for them so they do not perceive you as a threat. They aren't trying to insult you by making you feel small, as you might think at first. its just how the Ceripy culture works.

The Ceripy will never kill, instead trapping and relying on their technology to protect them. or just making the lives of their attackers miserable so they would leave them alone by manipulating there systems and resources.
for example with the wolf race:
Interactions with the wolf race is complex. Although the Ceripy are a prey species to the wolves there intelligent interactions cause for complicated encounters. The Ceripy technology is far more advanced than the wolves. When wolves invade Ceripy territory they use traps to capture wolves instead of killing them, this is because once imprisoned, the Ceripy would breed the wolves to be smaller and less aggressive. Any large aggressive wolves that get captured have their reproductive organs removed so they cannot pass on their genes. Where the Ceripy would forcefully bread the smaller wolves and release them back into the wild mated and to give birth to smaller pups. In the future, this Leeds to some interesting almost domestication like side effects on the entire wolf race, along with their interaction with the Ceripy.

The Ceripy are the first to sail from one land to the other, encountering the Gandie. Contact was relatively peaceful due to the technology gap not being to far, and the Gandie having much control of the Near Lands already, along with powerful war and defense strategies. being a large Herbivore meant the Ceripy was little threat to the Gandie. Though the Gandie find them to be a bit annoying due to there large height and joyful pride. A sharp contrast to the Gandie's strong worrier like culture. The Ceripy Fear the Gandie more then the Gandie fear the Ceripy due to their tendency to war and kill. The Gandie find it really annoying when the Ceripy consider them cutelike and small.

Posed bones in Blender 3D to trace, drawn on a page of my sketchbook, scanned, and shaded and coloured in GIMP. enjoy! :)

Brilliant idea, using Blender to pose a drawing reference figure! I've been wanting to make simple segmented models of animals and creatures of all kinds. I could use them to make realistic models later, but I could use them to draw from too. I'm usually able to draw creatures with or without references, but in some cases I wrestle with anatomy too without a reference of some kind.

This is a fascinating race!:-)

Thanks! laziness finds a way i guess haha.
Creatures are different then human like i find, with creatures you are free to do whatever, but we are much more sensitive to human like anatomy and it gets more frustrating on that part.

Thanks! I would put more information about them but i didn't want to flood the description anymore with walls of text. lol

Indeed. Well it is better then erasing and redrawing a hundred times. It wears the paper through.:D
So true. The human eye is built to recognize human forms more readily, so it makes us pickier in that regard. I frankly haven't drawn humanoids that much, and that;s probably why.

Well, I'm sure you can put more info with future uploads of these fellows.^^ I find it hard to keep my descriptions brief too.XD

for sure even with this drawing i had to clean up some of the erase lines in GIMP.

And that's true :) i also wanted to make a game museum thing in a Ceripy city too eventual, ill have lots of information there I'm sure.
lol honestly when i see other peoples art i never read the descriptions myself ^^;

Well, it turned out well in the end I think.:-)

I'll be ready to explore it if you do that! Being in a museum in city sounds fun to explore.
Heh, I know what you mean. I really try to read descriptions. But I get intimidated if it's really long, so I try to think of others that way and not make mine so long. I don't always succeed though.XD

Yeah, I hope for people to read most of my descriptions, especially if they comment, but if they don't, they don't. That's fine.:-)

Someone introduced me to Blender but I haven't bothered to try it. I don't think I draw enough to use that program nor does it bother me that I have some inconsistencies in my work.

That's an interesting background story for your races, I like it. Makes me wonder where you would place my races in your circle? **fabulous work!!

I know that i didn't use blender much at first myself but over time i got to using it for little things that i needed and it kind of grew, its handy to have around at least, and its free :)

And thanks :) i wouldn't know where to classify that lol and i dont know much about your races, you'll have to tell me a bit about them.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks leo i try my best but its hard to tell sometimes where you are in these things ^/^ i feel a bit more confidant about it though now that i use the bone system to cheat hehe :)

I wouldn't call it cheating Snowy, I'd call it utilizing the functionality of your computer to it's fullest by creating shortcuts in the creative process :p
And hey, if you're getting confident from it then all the better I say :D

no i guess not :) and that's very true.
though if i am away from my computer i just cant draw furies well lol.
But i am kind of hoping that i will learn from doing this technique so i can do it on my own one day :)
and that's true too. thanks leo ^^
